Quilt Lecture

Join us on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 1pm to celebrate the temporary exhibit: Quilted Past; Quilts from the Collection and hear acclaimed quilt lecturer and author, Anita Shackelford discuss “Quilt Rescue” and share her years of experience on conservation, restoration, rescues, and redesigns of quilts.

Anita Shackelford has been a quiltmaker since 1967 and began teaching in 1980. She is an internationally recognized teacher and lecturer whose skill in applique and fine hand quilting have taken her across the US and to many other parts of the world. Anita has been featured on several television programs, and her work has been featured in several gallery and museum exhibits. She is the author of several books and NQA certified quilt judge.
